I am a 32 year old bought this bike as my first attempt to try road cycling . So far I have said about 1000 miles on the bike during the three months that I 've owned , and I have the need to the extent that a full review of my experience with this bike. Information, I bought the bike 57cm , I'm 6'0 " and weighs about 200 pounds.

Firstly , I would like to share some of the most common things that will occur in other reviews for this
bike. There is a lot of misinformation on the right foot as a crack in the top of the pedal stroke . A critic who claims to be a bike mechanic , said that the problem is caused by a faulty crank. I am an auto mechanic , not a mechanic , but I am sure that the problem has nothing to do with the crank. I solved the problem four times and doubled sure I identified the problem exactly . The problem is that the pedal must be more difficult than you might think pressed . If you have a torque wrench , as I should be applied about 40 ft / lbs of torque when tightening the right pedal . If you do not have such a tool, simply pull with a little force. In my experience it is to completely eliminate the problem of "click" with the right pedal . Is the same as the left a little more while you 're there.

Some critics are not satisfied with the brakes. As I said, it drove my first jump on the road and this is perhaps because I do not do something different , but I found that the brakes are stopping in a position to whenever I needed. I had to stop very quickly ( a deer ran in front of me the other day ) and a lot of very steep mountain cycle . Never had a problem with the brakes is not enough. Yes, it takes a little adjustment at first, but I did not mess with them because if after the first day of use.

Before I forget , I must warn anyone buying this bike every bolt on the bike must be tight when you get it. Well, I went through the whole bike and I found some hex nuts were a little loose were other accessories too. Be sure and take the time to tighten all good.

Maybe the seat is hard and can not be compared to other ergonomic , but to be honest , only visible symptoms during my first trips was longer . I am currently cycling about 30 miles a day, four to five times a week and the seat as far as I 'm concerned perfectly . Some of the other reviews seem to forget that this bike will cost about $ 200 and $ 1000 is not like most of the bikes I was at my local bike shops . For the price, this is perfectly fine , sitting with me. I purchased the Pearl Izumi shorts on Amazon and offer some comfort.

The tubes that come with these tires are total crap . Other critics said that the pipes are terrible, but they are quite right . After the first two days of use and outs and the house has repeatedly beaten , original tubes with 48mm Avenir Schrader Valve Tube (700 X 28 - 32C) , which can be purchased directly from Amazon , and I had not previously replaced a single dwelling or shock. I weigh 200 pounds and I was put exactly 105 psi without any problems. I can check the pressure before each ride , and I must admit that I used to ask every time about 5-10 psi , ie the tubes seem to seep slowly over time . I am a beginner and I do not know if this is typical for other bikes or not, but I do not mind time to complete. I should also mention that just to be sure I bought rims I also at that time in the future data tubes. There were difficult moments on the edge that has contributed to the plate.

In summary, I am absolutely satisfied with this bike for the price. Speed made me work my ass big hill that gives me a good combustion , a good interval training, and it is so far my weight drop in recent months from € 210 to do so I hesitated on 200th buying a single speed because the main trail I ride here in Nashville is surrounded by hills and steep slopes . So far I 've been able to climb every hill , I did not need to go out and walk the bike found . I'm pretty glad I did not have to pay the extra money for a bicycle with gears , which (especially the less I was looking for ) was more maintenance. For the price , I think this bike is a great buy for those looking for sport for the first time . I intend this bike to death in the next year or two and then think about doing something a little better. But for now , which is very well maintained and help me reach my fitness goals much more fun and enjoyable as what I had expected. I hope this review is helpful to someone.

Want to enjoy this bike and it has been very well maintained. I only once or twice a week of riding for about 15 miles each time. Bearings on both wheels are still strong , the brakes have never given me problems , chain and crank are fine, and the tires are still good ( original pipes are crap as has been said ) . For the price and wear I put on this bike , I am even more convinced that he was a few months ago that this bike is a good deal.

I especially bike because I gave him for 10 years and my good old spirit of the mountain so I opted for a road bike instead of spring. I thought it was an incredible amount of line and bought it immediately. The price has come down a few days later by e -mail , that I, the seller ( Makai ), and immediately gave me a refund of the difference (amazing) ! Test went for a couple of days and this review should get something interesting. The expedition was a ship of 3-5 days of the series, stands out for me on the 5th day .

The advantages :
Very good handling bike with eye-catching colors .
It provides a very smooth ride on the road and others have more speed on a mountain bike in no time.
The bike is fairly cheap (~ $ 190-250 ), but behaves like a much more expensive bike . I received many compliments on this bike and shocked to learn that there are so many !
Several adhesives are easy to own a beautiful black finish.

The cons :
The brakes are a bit ' meh side / mind , I recommend that you exchange for a better sentence
very heavy for a road bike (25-30 kg)

Summary:
Cycling ( I have a 54 cm ) is made for tall people , so I would say that anyone under 5'7 "is probably too short for the bike , I'm 5'7 .5" and it feels a bit ' on the big side .
The brakes were very depressed, if they try to adjust , I finally got to a shop and let the professionals do part , but the rest of the bike is fairly easy to implement .
Do not have a tool to put together the bike , you need to : 1 ) the key, and 2) 5, and 6 mm hex key ( allen wrench ) 3) Patience should take about 30 minutes to an hour.

conclusion:
Really good bike for the price! If you just take a look at this bike , it is likely that you do not care if this is not the last body of carbon fiber and Kevlar lined tires and will in no case be used professionally . This bike is designed for city driving and less ideal work or school in the city streets . I can recommend this bike to any 5'8 "looking for a great and cheap road bike !

updated:
He rides every day rain or shine class for about 2 months, he had a small problem where the pedals would "click" after each cycle , apparently a little ' dirt is stuck in my pedals because after cleaning pedal while keeping everything went smoothly again butter. Yellow handle gets dirty very easily , but the bike itself is a solid and reliable way to obtain the class . Still love it!

Update 2 :
The riding is coming every day and new things. Fingerprints are worn yellow , hit a MASSIVE hole ripped a big gash in the tread and decided to replace both. I real race tires for this bike and I found that you can actually fit 700x 25c tires on the wheel (thin but lighter and faster) ! My times have improved and the bike just feels faster and more agile than ever (although the occasional hen nest is not very nice).
I also had a new home because the old place was very uncomfortable for me (it's a unisex aka seat that will satisfy anyone ), now the bike feels like I'm riding on a cloud , amazing what you notice when you start to experience .. .

  1. I read numerous reviews on road bikes from several brands and types and kept hearing mentions of the Takara Kabuto with positive reviews. I took the plunge and gave it a try as it was well within my price range and had better reviews than many of the bikes that are far more expensive. All I can say is that this bike is great, exactly what I was looking for. It is a comfortable ride, it is a beautiful bike and I haven’t had any issues with it in the 3 months I have been using it, (and I ride daily). The best price I could find it for was on this site: http://www.freshlineup.com/forher/takara-kabuto-single-speed-road-bike hopefully it is still on sale for you!
